Our Mission is
to empower
American Indian and Alaskan Native Youth through traditional and contemporary performing arts.
Our
PRIORITY is to serve Native youth through our Youth Theatre Program. Red Eagle Soaring develops talent and booking networks
for Native performing artists of all ages, and works with other groups on projects that further the careers of people of color
in the performing arts and fosters multi-cultural understanding
The main desired outcome of the Youth Theatre Program is to see each student, according
to his or her ability, make improvements in self-esteem, self-image and self-knowledge of identity, self-discipline, verbal
and non-verbal communication skills, teamwork and creative expression; and to give interested students guidance and opportunities
for training for a career in theatre and film.
Our GOAL in this work is to merge traditional with contemporary theatre arts
for the enrichment of the lives of under-served urban Native youth.

Youth Theatre
Program
In its thirteenth year of offering drama workshops for Native youth ages 11-19, Red Eagle Soaring
continues to serve the youth of the Native community with after school acting and playwriting workshops; a youth performance
project that presents an orginal play in the Spring; and SIYAP (Seattle Indian Youth Arts and Performance), an annual two-week
intensive drama workshop in the summer.
Through the generosity of donors, teachers, and
volunteers, Red Eagle Soaring is committed to offering these programs free of charge to the participants
